This PDF of the user guide of the upcoming N82 US release sheds some light on the newer features which aren't incorporated in the previous European release.

There's the Location Tagging feature, "Geotagging", which will now be integrated in to the camera software; this allows for the camera to activate the GPS when an image is captured to record the location of where you took the image. Seems quite neat, but beware of the data charges that may be come along with this feature.

And the other feature is something major that hasn't been released in the S60 platform yet - Widgets. I don't have much information so far so I can't elaborate on it, but I'm sure it's one of those things I wish I had on my N82.
